THE VEGA BROTHERS

Quentin Tarantino's oft-rumoured 80's-set movie that tied together Reservoir Dogs' Vic Vega (Mr Blonde) and Pulp Fiction's Vincent Vega looks more likely.

A casting director recently spilled the beans to a young actor auditioning for a role, which Tarantino hopes to film next year. The casting director also mentioned Samuel L. Jackson's name as a star.

BEWITCHED

Jim Carrey appeared on the Howard Stern Show recently and mentioned he talked to Nicole Kidman about co-starring with her in the adaptation of TV series Bewitched, as Darrin Stephens.

The classic sitcom followed the exploits of Samantha [Kidman], a witch who marries a mortal. He discovers her witchcraft only after they're wed, and she earnestly tries to abandon her powers for the sake of her mortal husband, Darren, but temptation constantly gets in the way.

CAT'S CRADLE

Writer-director Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) is set to team up with writer-director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem For A Dream) on a project called Cat's Cradle.

HARRY POTTER & THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN

The first image of Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore has been revealed (right). Gambon replaces the late Richard Harris in the role.

CONSTANTINE

MTV spoke with Keanu Reeves about his career post-Matrix. Reeves confirmed he is to star as John Constantine in a movie based on the comic-book Hellblazer series. The comic concerns an Englishman who is a fairly reprehensible working class cheat, but heavily involved in occult investigations that require him to save the world.

Keanu Reeves revealed his passion for the character: "[It's] his anger. He's angry, but he's got a good heart."

Reeves said he hopes to start filming Constantine in September for music video director Francis Lawrence.

DOG SOLDIERS II: FRESH MEAT

The sequel is confirmed. Check out
this website for more details.

KING KONG

Howard Shore (Lord Of The Rings) will score the music to Peter Jackson's King Kong remake, due in a few years time.

ROMANCING THE STONE 3

Michael Douglas is looking to get a third sequel to Robert Zemeckis' Romancing The Stone made. The first sequel was entitled The Jewel Of The Nile.

KILL BILL

The BBC interviewed Kung Fu star David Carradine in Cannes about his part in Tarantino's upcoming Kill Bill, as the titular Bill.

"We wrote a little bit of it, I say just a little bit because Quentin is the author. We'd smoke a cigar in the evening and talk and talk and talk and a week later there's a rewrite and it has that conversation in it. I talk endlessly. Basically I'm doing the Samuel L Jackson part in this movie. I'm just talking my head off, in between killing people".

"I can't tell you too much about it, but there's a long sequence between Uma and me that is like a love scene, except at the end of it we have a fight. That's probably the sweetest moment".

SUPERMAN

Superman screenwriter J.J. Abrams has stated that he hasn't been bothered by any negative internet feedback on his first draft script, and has actually received positive feedback for his latest draft.

He also stated he expect a new director to be attached within weeks, and that his decision to write a Superman movie was because of his disdain for recent blockbuster movies.

J.J. Abrams: "I'm not saying I could have done a better job, just that I could have done a better job for myself. I've been left unfulfilled by a few of the big movies lately, so I decided it was time for me to stop complaining about them and actually do something about it."

THE WOODS

M. Night Shyamalan's next spookfest will be The Woods. The Sixth Sense creator's new project is set in 1897 and concerns a village where the local woods are inhabited by mythical creatures.

The film will star Ashton Kutcher (Just Married), Joaquin Phoenix (Signs) and Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man), to be released mid-2004.
