which was how the film's sub-title was first devised and it fitted in better
with the title, so why change it? At least it proved it was the final film
in the series and the final nail in the coffin as a nadir in film-making.
It's Oscar night and evil terrorist madman Rocco Dillon (Tremors'
Fred Ward) is going to disrupt the proceedings, so Frank Drebin
(Leslie Nielsen) is called out of retirement to help one more time.
His romantic life with Jane (Priscilla Presley) is interrupted by
a dalliance with the busty Tanya Peters (
Anna Nicole Smith).
Spoofs include The Untouchables and there are cameos from
Pia Zadora and "Weird Al" Yankovic" (again).
This time round the picture is much improved and again in the original
anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen ratio.
The average bitrate is a high 7.72Mb/s, occasionally peaking over 9Mb/s.
No changes with respect to the Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, which again
is English only, while the Germans get Dolby Surround and the Hungarians
mono.
Extras are thin on the ground with this series. Just one two-minute Trailer
is included in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen, plus a feature-length Audio Commentary
from director Peter Segal, producers David Zucker and Robert
Weiss and associate producer Michael Ewing.
The number of chapters stand at 17, with with subtitles
in 13 languages: English (and hard of hearing),
Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Icelandic,
Norwegian, Polish, Swedish and Turkish.
The menus are silent and static.
