That was all i was going to write but I think you deserve to know more.
If you've played Ghost Recon and thought it was shit - give this a chance. If
you played Ghost Recon and thought it was good - go relieve yourself before
you play this as its orgasm central for anyone who like FPS games!
My first experience of the game was on line with some lovely guy telling me
where to stand and shoot so I didn't die (I love online games) so I got the
easy route into the game - but if you're not at one with the controls then go
practice offline first as you will be crucified by anyone and everything that
moves or that doesn't if its a big red barrel!
Rainbow 6:3 is a fantastic off and online game alike. In the offline version
the missions, gameplay is brilliant - the graphics surpass the likes of Metal
Gear Solid's 3948324938 shades of grey (how boring was that to look at?) you
get to run around SAS stylee and at times you feel like that guy from
Splinter Cell.
In each mission there's between 1-3 other computer controlled players
helping you which can be pretty useful if you're low on energy or just have a
yellow streak as you send them in first and sit back while they clear the room -
woohoo! you can use the headset off line to control you little guys shouting
commands at them like open and clear etc depending on what you want them to do -
however, they are about as reliable as real men and hardly ever do what you
say (they either dont understand English or have been in one too many combat
situations and have lost all sense of hearing!) so the buttons are good to tell
them what to do if you have the japanese version which doesnt understand what
"get up the fu&%^*g ladder you little p&^$k is"!
Basically, you run round various levels with various missions to do - all of
which involve killing lots of terrorists and rescuing a couple of hostage.
It's very very very easy to die :( but fun all the same! I'ma girl who cant play
computer games but spends 99% of the day watching other people play them and I
eventually did some missions so for avid gamers it'll probably be quite easy!
With a HUGE selection of guns and grenades theres something to suit everyone
- my personal favourites being the big ass one that has 200 rounds per clip
and a nice grenade launcher. Take the stealthy appoach or go in guns blazing
kamikaze style - choice is yours!
Graphics are great, few minor glitches with guns pointing through walls but
this problem's worse online than off - fun fun fun brilliant, excellent and a
whole host of other words to explain wow!
Online compatible this game beats every other Xbox Live game at the moment -
there's people who just play to get their stats good - shame on you serious
people - so you dont generally get much fun out of playing with those jerks as they
just yell at you, but there's loads of people who have great fun just blowing
each other up in the most amusing ways possible! Several on line game modes -
terrorist - basically you and the other guys on line run round killing the
terrorists, missions mode - you can play all the missions from the game on line
which can be a help if you're stuck on a misison - find a friend or one of
those serious guys i was on about and get them to help you through online so when
you're in the actual game you know what to do, Team Battle where you're in
separate teams and just blow the hell out of the other team (don't ever play against
my hubby as he blows his own team up) and sharpshooter where it's every man
for himself!
As i said the online glitches are worse than offline - you see people running
around with invisible weapons from time to time - its not fun being
killed by someone with an invisible weapon! And more guns pointing through
walls but its worth it for the sheer amazingness of this game.
Nice variety of levels to choose from - the white uniforms make the guys bums
look best :) hee hee and did i mention this game was fun!
A must for everyone - and if you already like Rainbow 6 or games similar then
you're a fool if you don't already own this so go and get it now!
