When two tribes go to war, it's not a point you'll be scoring, but the right to control all the SL18, a radioactive alloy found on Primus that is used to make weapons. Choose initially to play either the Imperial Order, who rule over 900 planets and get their income from selling SL18, or the Warmonkeys, who inhabit Primus and will guard the manna-from-heaven with their life.

In short it's another Command and Conquer-type game. Guide your little troops and tanks across the landscape over twenty levels by yourself (or play online), have some fights, win or lose. The graphics are sparse, the sound nothing to write home about. As for game play, Dogs of War plays so slowly, it fails to gain your interest despite being easy to manoeuvre.

    Overall

The only bonus is that the game contains a voice over from Red Dwarf actor Craig Charles, although when I played his voice didn't appear half as often as I expected.

This is definitely one for the C&C-aholics only.
