My Reflection, isn't just a look at the career and dreams of Christina Aguilera, but a reflection of the whole "holiday spirit". I'm not sure if the Americans still actually think of Christmas as a time for families and for loving and giving, but for her it's enough of an idea to stretch this TV special to over an hour.

The show contains songs such as Genie in a Bottle, Come On Over Baby and What a Girl Wants for the pop starlet performing on her own, collaborations Merry Christmas, Baby with Dr. John, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas with Brian McKnight and So Emotional with a little rapping runt that goes by the stupid name of Lil Bow Wow; and not to mention dreadful cover versions of Climb Every Mountain and Free's Alright Now.

If you haven't reached for the sick bag yet, then there are various behind-the-scenes pieces shoehorned in, along with The Making of "Come On Over Baby" music video and Mom & Friends in which we learn that La Aguilera loves her mommy. Aw, shucks(!)

The full list of tracks included are :

1. Introduction
2. Reflection
3. Genie in a Bottle
4. Come On Over Baby
5. Mom & Friends/Trust
6. What a Girl Wants
7. So Emotional (w/Lil Bow Wow)
8. The Making of "Come On Over Baby" music video
9. I Turn To You
10. At Last
11. Behind the Scenes on tour
12. Contigo en la Distancia
13. Climb Every Mountain
14. Choreography 7
15. Falsas Esperanzas
16. Alright Now
17. Merry Christmas, Baby (with Dr. John)
18. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (with Brian McKnight)
19. Christmas Time
20. End Credits

There's no artifacts on show, but sharpness is lost and there's some blurry motion with what isn't the best NTSC-to-PAL conversion I've ever seen. Perhaps they should've left it the way it was. Presented in fullscreen, the average bitrate is a high and erratic 9.41Mb/s.

The sound has no complaints with a dual Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 soundtrack present, the latter sounding a bit more bassy.

The only extras on the DVD are four pop videos, but three of them are rather a waste of time because they're all recorded in Spanish! There's the No.1 single, Genie in a Bottle, I Turn To You and Come On Over Baby, plus, in English, Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song, which is one for completists only since it's dripping in American schmaltz. And as I write this, summer's just about here and Christmas doesn't begin in the shops until July (!)

Any dialogue between songs - and in a few brief words from the man as an opener - comes in 10 subtitled languages, but none of them are English, just: French, German, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Dutch and Finnish. What's wrong with providing lyrics in any language as well as English??

The menus have some subtle animation, with some music on the main one, but aren't particularly impressive and are on a very short loop.
