Again, the annoying quizmaster is back.

In Buzz! Brain of the UK, you start off with 3 challenges:

  • Snapshot Challenge: answer questions correctly to reveal the picture parts - not quite Catchphrase as you get a question relating to the picture rather than just identifying it. This takes place in the space of one minute to answer all the questions, although the time pauses inbetween questions.
  • Top Rank Challenge: Order 8 Top Rank Questions, eg. Arrange the four words to spell the name of a disco group (Earth Wind and Fire, in this case)
  • Quickfire Movie and TV Challenge: answer 15 Movie and TV questions

game pic Inbetween each set of questions you'll get a Time Challenge, to answer a load of questions within a minute. You won't get short of questions either since there are over 4000 in this title.

Also, I played by myself, but the game allows you to compete against friends on one PSP system in Pass Around mode or enjoy four player face-offs via Game Sharing

Some questions seem a bit dated, such as one asking which radio presenter told us to 'Fight the flab'. Apparently it was Terry Wogan but it's not something I've heard about in connection with radio for some time. Also, another asks who presents LK Today, but since their dreadful rebranding in January, Lorraine Kelly's slot is just part of GMTV.

Overall, this is fun for a while but longevity depends on how you feel about this sort-of title. Plus, the phrases the Buzz guy comes out with are so repetitive and said with the same pseudo-enthusiasm as Richard Hammond on Total Wipeout.
