MGM'S DVD "TERMINATES" THE OPPOSTITION

Arnie has muscled his way into the DVD record books! MGM Home Entertainment's March 19 Special Edition DVD release of THE TERMINATOR has scored the highest Week 1 DVD sales of a catalogue title ever.

Trouncing MEN IN BLACK's previous Week 1 record sales of 41,044 THE TERMINATOR has knotched up stunning sales of 51,381 taking it to the No.1 spot on CIN's DVD sales chart.

James Cameron's 1984 masterpiece, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is a fantastic double disc DVD packed with extras including deleted scenes, features, commentaries and some amazing packaging. It kicks off a series of Special Edition DVD releases from MGM in 2001 including ROCKY and THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.

MGM has supported THE TERMINATOR with a major marketing blitz including advertising on national VIRGIN RADIO, and on-line publicity including a micro site on the official high traffic ROBOT WARS site. bag stuffers and chart positions.

THE TERMINATOR SPECIAL EDITION DVD is the ultimate example of an action thriller, full of stunning special effects and its transfer to the DVD signifies a new landmark for this exciting new technology.
