DVD: Starring George Formby and Kay Walsh Directed by Anthony Kimmins Out To Own On DVD April 5th 2010 Joan (Kay Walsh) is a lovely manicurist and George (George Formby) a barber in the same department of the Regal Stores. In the sports department is Hector (Guy Middleton), who is something of a scoundrel. Joan is fascinated by Hector but is inclined to look down on George who is rather skinny. The ‘County Echo’ has organised a keep fit competition. Hector is well in the running but George’s gymnastic skills are not so hot. George agrees to take the sample gym vests to the drill hall where the competition is staged. There he is told by his manager to put them on, and finds himself in a competition with Hector, with Joan watching. The DVD is released on April 5th, it runs for 79 mins and is available on Amazon £9.99 (RRP £15.99).
