Kristina Harvey sings live at Kensington Roof Gardens...
Gorgeous chanteuse Kristina Harvey performed at China Whites in London on Monday night and has a new gig
on Friday this week at Kensington Roof Gardens from 9pm. If you're in the area and want to check out some great
music then head along.
Click on Kristina's picture (right) to visit her MySpace page and listen to some tracks, such as Walking Away
which has a similar pace to Sarah Whatmore's When I Lost You, Think About It, which sounds a bit
like Beverley Craven's Holding On, and Maybe You Know, which has a touch of Kate Nash about it, but
is much better.
Her first release, Unresolved, is out now on iTunes and her forthcoming album Maybe you know (Or maybe you don't) will be out very soon.
Yes, it's Halo 3, the sequel to the sequel which came out three years
ago, and you've been looking forward to it all year. It's here, but is it
any good?
An album sang entirely in Scottish Gaelic might not sound like the sort of
thing that'll appeal to everyone, but this mixture of ballads and foot-tappers
brought to you by
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
will soon win you round.
Marie Osmond collapses on DVDfever's Youtube channel...
We're a bit behind on updating the Youtube site this past week, so just
one new addition this week, which is Marie Osmond having collapsed on
last week's Dancing With The Stars, the US equivalent of Strictly
Come Dancing, but there'll be plenty more to come soon.
Stuck for something to do this weekend? The list of the films showing at
Manchester Showcase Cinema
can be found on this page, and won't differ much from what's on in the rest
of the country.
The new films out include: Nancy Drew, Last Legion, Dark is Rising, Eastern Promises, Daddy Daycamp and Saw 4.
Or perhaps he's got a little bit of a guilty conscience as this isn't a
perfect album, but is there enough worth having a listen to?
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts
lends an ear...
Wage war on wildlife... sort-of, with Chicken Shoot on Nintendo DS...
Remember Operation Wolf in the '80s, in the arcade with the gun and
on the ZX Spectrum with the... er... rubber keys? Well, this is not quite
the same but it has chickens flying across the screen and they need to be
blasted into next week.
The release dates for singles go up until late December
with albums also until December 2007.
Ray LaMontagne Live...
Last Wednesday,
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
went to see Ray LaMontagne live in concert in Manchester, and greatly enjoyed
it but if you go to one of his gigs, make sure you don't leave too early...
And it was just part of the busy day for
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
as he stopped off first at the Trafford Centre to take pictures with and
attend Mick Hucknall's book signing for his new release.
Points of View - Terry Wogan's Willy remix on DVDfever's Youtube channel...
Points of View wouldn't have its 'pointed views' without the great
Terry Wogan on hand giving it his all to a wanton public.
Yes, the programme needs the kind of credibility that Radio 4's Feedback has
for radio programmes, as presented each Friday (1.30pm) and Sunday (8pm) by
Roger Bolton who also presented the late, great Right to Reply, but Terry can
crack a gag or two and he deserves the utmost credit for giving me a mention
on his Radio 2 breakfast show back in October 1981 when I had one of my many
operations.
So, sit back and enjoy Wogan's happy 15 minutes, cut down to two with a bit
of remixing, from Sunday's programme.
And kudos to Heat magazine who, barely 12 hours after I'd placed this online,
had already linked it from their website!
Also uploaded recently are:
a second video of Terry Wogan answering his critics from the latest Points of View episode
the Loose Women discussing Wogan's willy
The Wright Stuff doing the same
Matthew Wright wanting Brian Connelly on his knees
a Children in Need trailer based around the 'Life on Mars' series
Lisa Maxwell on The Wright Stuff
two 'Lost for Words' trailers from Channel 4
Anthony H Wilson being discussed by partner Yvette Livesey on BBC North West's Inside Out
Breakfast interviews with Louise Redknapp, Robert Bathurst, Lynda Bellingham, Michael Fish about the 1987 storm and Kylie Minogue
Something for the Weekend's "review" of Guitar Hero 3
Newswatch showing how News 24's coverage of the digital switchover proving that it really wasn't happening in Whitehaven
and Michael Winner wanting to leave quick smart on Breakfast...

The London Film Festival 2007 starts today and runs until November 1st and,
once again,
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Helen M Jerome
will be telling us what she liked and disliked once the festival is over, but
first she brings us a heads-up of what you can expect over the next two
weeks...

Learn the tales of the ninja in Shinobido on the Sony PSP...
Last year, Sony released a fantastic game about a stealthy ninja on the
Playstation 2, and now they've followed it up with an outing on their handheld,
Sony PSP, which is just as much fun and looks even better thanks to the
coolness of playing it on a smaller machine.
Last Thursday,
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
went to see Damien Rice live in concert in Manchester, a man who's made a
living so far out of releasing albums with very short titles.
Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová on DVDfever's Youtube channel...
Recently, I've heard about a film called "Once" about an Irish busker and
a Czech girl he chances across who's trying to sell the Big Issue magazine.
What follows is their journey together, and here we've got interviews with
them both on Breakfast and The Culture Show, with the link from the picture
leading to their Culture Show performance of the track "Falling Slowly".
Also uploaded recently are Breakfast interviews with fashion hottie Hannah
Sandling, a News 24 interview with Al Murray & Harry Hill, Cerys Matthews
appeared in a rather altered state on Something for the Weekend and there is a
Points of View feature about BBC2 idents, Something for the Weekend leaves the
camera on, Working Lunch has some squeaky end credits, Clarks has a clever
advert for shoes, the Culture Show declares that they're not faking anything
and shows a Homer Simpson next to the Cerne Abbas giant and on Breakfast
Kate Silverton says that Dermot wants to get Kylie in the sack...

We're catching up on a number of reviews from over the summer, as one or
two sections of the site are a little behind since we got things back up and
running from returning in June, and today we bring you a live gig that
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts
attended in June for this 'solid' star.
Who can say no to a bit of Barry Manilow, the man who wrote some incredible
songs from years gone by including the classics from the '70s, Mandy,
Copacabana and Could It Be Magic? No-one sane, that's for sure, including
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts.
Drive into the action with Stuntman: Ignition on Xbox 360...
A great new piece of driving entertainment for the Xbox 360, there's a stack
of crash-bang-wallop to be had with this game as you work your way through
six scenes apiece for six 'movies' plus a stack of extras including a stunt
editor, and this review also includes video footage of some of my favourite
moments playing the game.
And this one is comes for Pink Floyd's Piper At The Gates of Dawn,
which includes an extra couple of discs including both Arnold Layne
and See Emily Play and gets a glowing response from
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts.
Gordon Brown needs a man on DVDfever's Youtube channel...
Well, actually, he just needs a mandate, but when David Cameron was asked
this recently on Andrew Marre's show, it was more fun to make it sound like
Marre was seeking Cameron's viewpoint on whether the election-bottler needed
some man-love...
Also uploaded recently are Breakfast interviews with Don McLean, Alison
Moyet, Mick Jagger and Paul Young, who also appears on The Wright Stuff
talking about the 1980s, and there are small pieces of Charlie Brooker on
his own BBC4 ident and a guy called David Buik kicking off in an untoward
fashion on Working Lunch...

Blast the Helghast into next week with Killzone on the PSP...
The PS2 original of Killzone was an okay experience back in late
2004, but something had to be done in order to give it a freshen up if it was
going to succeed on a handheld and Sony have come up trumps with this release
which is one of the best action shooters you can buy for the PSP.
The man behind Orange Juice has had some serious health issues of late, but
will this latest CD, containing 12 new tracks, make you want to take a trip
to the record store and bring one of his albums 'home again'?
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
lends an ear.
Charlie Brooker has a rant on DVDfever's Youtube channel...
Writer and saviour of British TV, Charlie Brooker, is featuring the new
practice of the BBC's End Credit Interruptions on his show tomorrow (with
several repeats during the week) on BBC4 at 10pm, and to start he announced
this at the end of the first show in the new series with very amusing results...
Also uploaded recently are another huge onscreen next for French & Saunders,
a piece on the Wright Stuff about fairy tales - giving a mention to Facebook
group "Disney Gave Me Unrealistic Expectations About Love", and several
Breakfast interviews and pieces with Ricky Gervais, Marie Helvin, The
Chuckle Brothers and Elisabeth Sladen talking about the new series, The
Sarah Jane Adventures.
