Music nostalgia with Jason's Jukebox at DVDfever.co.uk...
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Jason Maloney
returns with his new regular column charting the hits from way back when and
giving everyone a nostalgia trip back to when music meant something.
This week we return to the week ending September 30th 1995 and
there's music from Shaggy, The Cardigans
and Carter USM.
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Dan Owen returns with his
regular movie news section which looks at future releases and features US and UK
top 10 cinema listings, UK release dates, websites and trailers.
Spaced: The Final Frontier - the whole lot on DVD...
Released yesterday:
It's one of my favourite TV series of recent years, and the cast and crew
have already spawned the brilliant "rom-zom-com" (a romantic zombie comedy),
Shaun of the Dead,
so throw in a bonus disc of unseen material to the two series broadcast and
sit down for a televisual feast for which you would have needed to reserve
the Channel 4 channel, and not the BBC2 channel as claimed by BBC7's resident
mouthy dimwit, Penny Haslam.
With Pitch Black released in 1999, and the sequel out this summer
along with a DVD inbetweener, Dark Fury, this Xbox game takes you
back to before all of that in a first-person-shooter style and with
surprisingly good results.
Joss Stone gives you her mind, body and second CD...
Released today:
Wannabe hippychick, or talented young star? Opinions are divided, but
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts
is quite taken with this relatively new addition to the UK music scene.

Caroline Lavelle - a name to take note of on CD...
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts
introduces us all to an artist who's worked with many greats over the years
but whom yet hasn't become a household name. If one opinion was to change
that she'd be No.1 with this new album.

added today.

The first part of this film, starring Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu and Vivica
A. Fox, went a little too far into Tarantino's own self-obsessed world
of kung-fu movies. Can the sequel bring it back a bit as The Bride returns
to bump off the three remaining baddies - Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah
and David Carridine?
Last year, Fleetwood Mac returned with a new studio album,
Say You Will and this DVD, brought to you by
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts,
goes behind the scenes on one of rock's most talked about bands as they
put this album together.

That's what the media would have you believe, but does it really come across
that well? This violent thriller stars Eric Stoltz, Julie Delpy and
Jean-Hughes Anglade.

returns with the DVD release of a classic '80s video compilation that's
finally getting a release on the format it deserves, and includes the

Fans of the classic Channel 4 comedy, Spaced, need look no further
for entertainment as many of the cast and crew return for a movie that's
not a continuation, but does the kind of thing I like to see...
Since the Spaced story had gone as far as it could, I want to see
more excellence from the same team, but in a different way, and that's
exactly what we've got here. There's also scores of extras that are actually
worth looking at!
Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Bill Nighy, Kate Ashfield, Penelope Wilton,
Dylan Moran, Lucy Davis and Peter Serafinowicz indulge in a
romantic comedy... with zombies.
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts
went to see the jazz double-bill of old-hand Jools Holland and
new boy Jamie Cullum on the bank holiday weekend in Bangor, North Wales.
