The Red Riding Trilogy:
Compelling, complex, gripping and genuinely disturbing, THE RED RIDING TRILOGY is a breathtaking, neo-noir epic based on horrific, factual events and adapted for the screen by Tony Grisoni (FEAR AND LAOTHING IN LAS VEGAS, TIDELAND) from David Peace's seri

ds himself assigned to report on the case of a local girl who has gone missing. But after her bizarrely mutilated body is discovered, he is thrown into a sleaze infested, nightmarish world of corruption. As the killer's identity remains a mystery, savage
events spiral out of control, spanning generations and leading to a shocking climax.
The three films (1974, 1980 and 1983) are directed by three different filmmakers, Julian Jarrold (BECOMING JANE), James Marsh (Academy Award Winner 2009 for MAN ON WIRE) and Anand Tucker (HILARY AND JACKIE), and each boasts a fantastic British cast. Sean
Bean (LORD OF THE RINGS) joins Mark Addy (THE FULL MONTY), Warren Clarke (A CLOCKWORK ORANGE), Paddy Considine (DEAD MAN'S SHOES), Andrew Garfield (BOY A), Rebecca Hall (VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA), David Morrissey (THE OTHER BOELYN GIRL) , Peter Mullan (TR

so, a lot like most horror films, then. But can this one set itself apart from the rest?

Twilight:
TWILIGHT, based on the acclaimed novel by Stephenie Meyer, is the highly-anticipated movie of the ultimate forbidden love affair between a vampire and mortal. Boasting a whole host of bright young talent including Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Go
blet of Fire), Kristen Stewart (Into The Wild, What Just Happened) and Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, The O.C.), the screenplay is written by Melissa Rosenberg (Step Up, The O.C.) and directed by the Award-winning filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke (Lords of D
ogtown, Thirteen).
Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Wash
ington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul.
Channel 4's critically-acclaimed drama follows the angst-ridden lives of its teenage characters, as they grapple with issues of race, religion, sexuality, drugs, and eating disorders. SKINS' portrayal of these characters as poster children of the hedonist
ic lifestyle is unflinching in its candour. Expect plenty more bitching, backstabbing, and general bad behaviour in this, the complete first to third series of the smash hit show.
Luke Rutherford (Christian Cooke) is leading the normal, somewhat boring life of any London teenager, when an incredible revelation about his ancestry rocks his world. His late father's best friend, Rupert Galvin (Philip Glenister, LIFE ON MARS), travels
all the way from America to reveal to the oblivious teenager that he is the last descendant of Abraham Van Helsing, the famous vampire-werewolf-and anything-in-between slayer. Rupert offers to train Luke for his new duty, and demonstrates a certain expert
ise in getting rid of evil creatures... being an accomplished demon-hunter himself.
Another fundamental aid to the youngster’s supernatural new mission comes from none other than Mina Harker (Zoe Tapper, SURVIVORS), a good-hearted, blind, piano virtuoso vampire, once romantically linked to Dracula. To complete this unusual squad comes Ru
by, Luke’s clever and enamoured best friend. Will Luke be up to the demanding role of World’s new defender against evil?

much from what's on in the rest of the country.
The new films out include: The Boat That Rocked, Monsters Vs Aliens and 8x10 Tasveer.
A rather odd title for this album, but not a bad one too overall, as the
tracks feature some "universal popiness" and a "rip-roaring slice of wackiness",
according to
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts.
