Knickers drop in Cherry Falls on DVD...
Slasher horror films are two-a-penny, but does Cherry Falls, starring
Brittany Murphy, Jay Mohr and Michael Biehn have what it takes
to stay one step ahead of the rest? If you'd read my cinema review at the time
back in August last year you'd know the answer...
Bond's Licence to Kill is revoked after he goes after the murdering scumbags
who attempted to kill his best friend, Felix Leiter, but made a better job of
his wife. This was Timothy Dalton's second and last appearance as 007.
Timothy Dalton scares you out of The Living Daylights on DVD...
Released today :
The first of two outings for Timothy Dalton as the man every woman
loves to love, and this time he's helping Jeroen Krabbe to defect
to the West. Check back tomorrow for a look at his follow-up Bond flick,
Licence To Kill.
It's the Rage to have a gun in the US in order to protect yourself, your loved ones and
your home - or so that is the stance taken by those who find themselves in
compromising positions when someone's bought the farm and the person is standing
over them with a smoking pistol in their hand.

Guy Ritchie's follow-up to Lock Stock, this film features many
familiar characters including Brad Pitt, Mike Reid and Vinnie Jones.
It's "Lock Stock and two discs full of extras" !
If you can understand Spaced, then it probably isn't for you, because
the off-the-wall story of the characters in this series doesn't make any sense
at all, but is still very enjoyable and stars Simon Pegg, Bill Bailey,
Jessica Stevenson and Mark Heap.
If you'd created a game as dull as
Fighting Force 2,
would you be flattered if someone had tried to copy it, or would you think they
deserve to spend time in the local nuthouse?

Hang On. Cliffhanger's still not out yet on DVD...
Released March 12th :
Originally scheduled for released two weeks ago, then to today and now it won't
see the light of day for at least another four weeks, the version I received
for review appeared to be a disc destined for the German market, given the
writing on the disc itself, while the box had "18 TBC" where the certificate
goes. Will we get a fully uncut version released next month? Stay tuned.

Bladders out for Edmund on DVD...
"Stop calling me Bladder", is a request from Edmund (Rowan Atkinson)
to the Prince Regent (Hugh Laurie) as his life is put through the mill
once more, also accompanied by his trusty idiot Baldrick (Tony Robinson).
When I first saw The Presidio around ten years ago I wasn't particularly
impressed and thought it time for a re-viewing now the DVD has been released,
but have things improved, or will both aspects be rather a let-down?
Just over two weeks ago I criticised this game, the initials of which stand
for "I'm Going In", because I couldn't get to grips with the control
system, making it really unplayable for me. I've since "gone back in" and
had another crack at it to more pleasing results...
Zoom along with the Last Fast Show Ever Part 1 on DVD...
Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson and the rest of the team wrote and
produced three series, a theme night and now, finally, a three-part Xmas

The complete first series of Only Fools and Horses on DVD...
Stick a pony in me pocket, I'll fetch the suitcase from the van.
A pony? A ton? Some people couldn't give a 'monkey' and they were the ones
who missed out on what used to be a great sitcom with David Jason, Nicholas
Lyndhurst and the late Lennard Pearce.

It's a local DVD for local people: League of Gentlemen...
There's only one comedy series synonymous with that catchphrase, the
distinctly dark comedy, The League of Gentlemen. All the madness
of the first series is available to take home.

Four-time. Tekken Tag Tournament on PS2...
Never mind the one-player-apiece of the previous versions. Now you can back
up the strength of your claims that you're the hardest man in your street
with Tekken's latest incarnation.
I emailed Show Me the Funny a couple of weeks ago since I couldn't
vote for The Drunk Review as one of the funniest sketches that I wanted
to see return and I told them how impossible to navigate the E4 website was
because you can't view it unless you're running IE5 on a HIGH res window,
with no less-flashy alternative.
Without any prompting, they visited my website and read out the following
review, which was mentioned to me first by several people before I'd had a
chance to see the programme (I always tape the late-night repeat since the
first screening clashes with The Grimleys).
"Show Me the Funny is fairly quirky and definitely entertaining.
Is it because Ania is fit?"
To the first bit, Ania replied in a slightly-apparently-disgusted fashion,
"That sounds too much like 'nice'" and to the latter part replied,
"Not today I'm not".
I'll email them back and ask for a signed photo :)
PS. I don't have an E4 logo yet :(

Absolutely Fabulous is or isn't, depending on your opinion, but this
sitcom starring Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha and
Jane Horrocks was certainly a smash hit and a return may be on the
cards after the flop of their subsequent pilot for Mirrorball.

Water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink. There's plenty to drown the
