news page pic Music chart summary: w/e September 4th 2010...

This week, the No.1 went to Taio Cruz's Dynamite, an average dance track that's ridiculously auto-tuned to hell. And it displaces Roll Deep to No.4.

Meanwhile, there are new entries for Katy B's Katy On A Mission (No.5), Brandon Flowers' Crossfire (No.8), Rumer's Slow (No.16), Aggro Santos' Saint Or Sinner (No.19), Hurts' Wonderful Life (No.21), Biffy Clyro's God & Satan (No.36) and The Pretty Reckless' Miss Nothing (No.39).

Special mention goes to the wonderful track from Manchester band, Hurts, which I first heard on GMTV. Definitely a band to watch, and you can see the video here.

In the album charts, Eminem returns to the top slot, knocking Iron Maiden to No.2 with their new album, The Final Frontier.

The other new entries come from Klaxons' Surfing The Void (No.10), Bay City Rollers' The Greatest Hits (No.12), Eels' Tomorrow Morning (No.18), Darren Styles' Feel The Pressure (No.23) and One Night Only's eponymous album at No.36.

The new release dates for singles and albums can be found HERE and they go up to early November 2010.
