When I heard this artist's name pronounced as "Maya" I thought it was the girl who sang with The Temperer for the crappy "Feel It", but it's not and I've heard this single in both standard and dance versions, both rather funky and deserves a Top 10 placing.

First new single from their forthcoming album "Up" out next week and I've only heard it once, on MTV, but it's a lot better than most of the rest of the chart.

Of the three singles released last year, this bright, poppy song was the best and made No.23 in April. The others were "The Day Before Yesterday's Man" (No.25, Feb 97) and "Love Has Passed Away" (No.38, July 97), while this year they made No.25 with "I Wasn't Built To Get Up".
