news page pic Music chart summary: w/e September 18th 2010...

This week, the No.1 went to another X-Factor bore, Alexandra Burke with Start Without You where she keeps saying "I'm not Caprice". Well, duh! It actually reminds me of Boney M's dreadful "Hooray! Hooray! It's a Holi-Holiday". On the plus side, it displaces Olly Murs to No.4.

Meanwhile, there are new entries for The Script's For The First Time (Times Are Hard) (No.5), McFly's Party Girl (No.6), Emma's Imagination's This Day (No.10), Alesha Dixon's Drummer Boy, Greg Street Feat. Soulja Boy & Keri Hilson's Turn My Swag On (remix) (No.17), Pictures' Tears (No.33), The XX's Islands (No.39) and Linkin Park's The Catalyst (No.40).

Lower entries outside the Top 40 include The Saturdays' Higher (No.62) and Hurts' Illuminated (No.68).

In the album charts, Brandon Flowers takes the top slot with Flamingo, knocking Katy Perry down to No.2.

The other new entries come from Hurts' Happiness (No.4), Stone Sour's Audio Secrecy (No.6), Ray LaMontagne and the Pariah Dogs' God Willin' & the Creek Don't Rise (No.17), James' The Morning After (No.19), The Charlatans' Who We Touch (No.21), I Am Kloot's Sky At Night (No.37), Brian Wilson's Reimagines Gershwin (No.55).

The new release dates for singles and albums can be found HERE and they go up to early November 2010.
