Music chart summary: w/e February 12th 2011...

This week, the top slot was taken by Jessie J with Price Tag. I've no idea who this woman is or where she's come from, other than popping up on TV now and again, but she has nothing new to say and has produced a bog-standard song acting as if she thinks she's black and using autotune like it's going out of fashion. As a result, it displaces Ke$ha down to No.3, with Bruno Mars hanging in at No.2.

Meanwhile, there are new entries in the Top 40 for:

  • 5 Enrique Iglesias feat. Ludacris & DJ Frank E - Tonight (I'm Fuckin' You)
  • 21 Dr Dre feat. Eminem and Skylar Grey - I Need A Doctor
  • 39 Yasmin - On My Own

Lower entries outside the Top 40 include:

  • 45 Glee Cast - River Deep, Mountain High
  • 55 Nicki Minaj feat. Drake - Moment 4 Life
  • 67 Glee Cast - Lucky
  • 70 Chase & Status feat. Tempa T - Hypest Hype
  • 77 Tiësto vs. Diplo feat. Busta Rhymes - C'mon (Catch 'Em By Surprise)
  • 79 Glee Cast - Don't Go Breaking My Heart
  • 99 Kanye West feat. Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Elton John, Alicia Keys, Fergie, The-Dream, Tony Williams, John Legend, Charlie Wilson, Ryan Leslie and Elly Jackson - All Of The Lights

In the album charts, Adele retained the top slot with her second album, 21, while Chase & Status were kept down at No.2.

The other new entries come from:

  • 2 Chase & Status - No More Idols
  • 6 Eva Cassidy - Simply Eva
  • 19 Skepta - Doin' It Again
  • 20 Roberta Flack - Love Songs
  • 22 Ke$ha - Animal
  • 31 Chapel Club - Palace
  • 50 The Go! Team - Rolling Blackouts
  • 54 Little Comets - In Search Of Elusive Little Comets
