This week: 10 new entries, 4 climbers, 3 non-movers & 23 downers.

new entry re-entry climber faller non mover

CHART TIME !

(* - my current favourites)
(!!! - Single Of The Week!!!)

    • 53 Nikka Costa - Like a Feather
    • 54 Ray J - Wait a Minute
    • 60 David James - Permanent State
    • 63 Jakatta - American Dream
    • 65 Ian Pooly - Balmes
    • 69 AFX - 2 Remixes

Of this week's highlights and lowlights...

47 Human League - All I Ever Wanted

Can't remember if I've heard any of this, but it doesn't look promising for a comeback.

39 Wurzels - Combine Harvester

A remix released in aid of the farmers affected by the foot and mouth disease, which is causing their mad brains to overcharge the government TEN TIMES for what it really costs to clear up the mess.

No wonder No.10 have stopped general payments to the thieving melonfarmers.

31 Turin Brakes - Mind Over Money * !!!

I've recently got into this band from what I've heard on MTV2 and this is excellent stuff. It also reminds me a little as if it's about to merge into Demons by the Super Furry Animals.

12 Depeche Mode - I Feel Loved *

Great dance track from the band who can turn out all kinds of sounds

11 Janet Jackson - Someone to Call My Lover

More shite girlie-girlie crap

8 Geri Halliwell - Scream If You Wanna Go Faster

A very low entry compared to what she was no doubt expecting after more endless self-promotion and lesbian dances licking her on Top of the Pops.

1 Atomic Kitten - Eternal Flame :O === *2nd Week at No.1*

As the Bangles re-release their Greatest Hits album under the title of this, their 1989 No.1 single, the band that were nearly dead before "Whole Again" capitalise upon the popularity of the track with a dire cover version that turns it from a sloppy romantic song into a pop song. Stick with the original.

This is the 7th single in a row to go straight in at No.1 :

  • 1. DJ Pied Piper - Do You Really Like It
  • 2. Shaggy feat. Rayvon - Angel
  • 3. Moulin Rouge - Lady Marmalade
  • 4. Hear'Say - The Way To Your Love
  • 5. Roger Sanchez - Another Chance
  • 6. Robbie Williams - Eternity / The Road to Mandalay
  • 7. Atomic Kitten - Eternal Flame

Dominator's Top 50 of 2000

32. Lightning Seeds - Sweetest Soul Sensations

Released in March last year, if there was ever a band that needed a hit it's this lot. Time after time they produce excellent music, but it seems that if they're not singing about football then no-one's interested. This track made No.67.
