It's a long time since I've heard this, a dance track that samples the 80s arcade classic Defender. Why the re-release?

It first made No.17 in Nov 1988, then No.40 in the Aug 1992 re-release.

52 Straw - Sailing Off the Edge of the World

Another fantastic and upbeat tune from his band but still does commercial success elude them.

35 Semisonic - Chemistry

A very American-sounding song and one that instantly commands your attention, so why has it entered so low?

9 Dane Bowers - Shut Up and Forget About It

Easily done with this tripe, but he definitely gets the "Lucky Bastard Of The Week" award for following up his relationship with Jordan with a new one in the form of Joanna Taylor (Geri from Hollyoaks)

5 Melanie B - Feels So Good *

A decent Mel B song for a change, the main reason being that it's more of a 'fun' track and not one where she's completely up her own arse & talking about her own problems that none of us give a shit about.

1 Atomic Kitten - Whole Again *4th Week at No.1*

Kerry Katona has left to have a kid with one of the Oirish boy-band Westlife and been replaced by Jenny, who looks exactly like the other two girls.

This single is fairly catchy and, being their first No.1 single, you can't help but wonder if this band are now finally on their way up and Kerry is kicking herself for leaving.
